Murat Öztürk

Born in 1973 in Lorraine to a Turkish father and an Italian mother, Murat Öztürk is an artist steeped in that vast European culture which has been blending East and West for centuries. From this cultural eclecticism, he has drawn out the very essence, picking up rich influences here and there. He began his musical training as a complete self-taught musician, and his encounter with jazz (the records of Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson) was a true revelation.
